1. INSTALL HEADSET MOUNTING SPACER

If you are unfamiliar with removing the stem and spacers please consult your local bike shop for assistance. Always check with a professional bike mechanic if you are not 100% confident during installation.

a. Locate 10mm of spacer on steerer tube

b. Remove 10mm of original spacer

C. Replace with 10mm Mac Ride front mount spacer

d. With the special spacer mounted, you can leave it in place and easily install and remove your Mac Ride seat.

Dropper Seat Post Scenario:

This image is for a "dropper post" - do not attach Mac Ride to the portion of the seat post that moves up and down; attach to the collar below.

Standard Seat Post Scenario (no dropper)

For standard seat posts, with no dropper, attach to the seat post itself, and do so at any point, ideally the spot that makes Mac Ride the most comfortable for your child.

3. ADJUSTMENTS

1A. Pivot stirrups to correct angle, so child's feet are clear of front wheel

1B. Tighten bolt as below. Stirrups must be secure, not able to move/pivot while riding.

2. Adjust saddle forward (for smaller children) and back (for older children)

3. Shorten/Lengthen Stirrup as needed

4. Adjust foot strap by pulling rubber strap down and away, over the bolt at the end of the foot rest.

SAFETY CHECK

Always remember to perform the foot clearance test- all four steps- making sure you can safely turn your front wheel, even when the shocks are fully compressed.

1. LAST CHECK BEFORE YOU ORDER

Two mounting bracket spacers are provided with each Mac Ride seat. The spacers are for threadless steerer tubes that are 1 1/8" only. Each spacer replaces an existing 10mm spacer(s). Check your bike before your order, especially if you have a short stem! And especially if you need a quill stem adapter. It's important to know the difference between a 7/8" and a 1" adapter requirement.

*We have recently seen that some newer bikes have a larger seatpost. If you have a bike with a new larger seat post (at a max diameter of 34.9mm), please read the fix, here, to make sure you are happy before proceeding with your order.

** We do not have an adapter for 1.5" steerer tubes sometimes used in Cannondale Leftys.

2. SHIPPING- CANADA

Shipping is sometimes a bit slower than normal due to Covid-19, although it seems more and more on target each week. The Xpress Post service is still faster, but the delivery timelines are not being guaranteed and delays can also be expected.

Canadian customers, we ship Monday/Wednesday/Friday every week. Considering weekends, the last pick up is 12pm on Friday; the next ship time is 12pm Monday. Shipping does not happen on national holidays.

If you want to sign for your Mac Ride (rather than it being left on the porch), you need to choose the Xpresspost service. With the more basic tracked service, Expedited Parcel, these are not signed for. We are responsible for getting your parcel to your door, but not for any unfortunate theft or the like thereafter.

3. DELIVERY TIME FRAMES

We cannot guarantee delivery due to unforeseen circumstances, including national holidays, customs delays at country borders. It is usually much quicker, but please allow up to 10 business days from the time you receive your shipping notification for your Mac Ride to arrive. Additional time may be necessary for rural addresses.

4. FREIGHT & HANDLING CHARGES:

Shipping costs usually range from $8-22 CAD for Expedited Shipping per seat and $12-26 CAD for Xpress Shipping.

For each additional Mac Ride on the same order to the same address, there is a drop in the shipping fee. Why not team up with a friend to order two seats to the same address?

There are some addresses that our carriers deem to be "out of zone". We aren't always able to detect this at the point of order and sometimes need to come back to the customer to request new shipping charges be met.*

5. PAYMENT METHODS

We accept Visa and MasterCard. If necessary, we can arrange payment via PayPal (send an email to info@mac-ride.com). Your account will be charged at the time your order is placed. You cannot pay for an order using two separate payment methods.

6. OUT OF STOCK/BACK ORDER

If Mac Ride is out of stock, you are still charged at the point of purchase. We will ship your order to you as soon as it becomes available.
